Roadplate rug       2015

The everyday object of a road plate, an object more commonly found on a construction site, inspired the form and functionality of this rug. Mienderstma used waste wool and PLA to make the rug, which was needle felted and pressed to give it shape. The object can be dragged around the floor to where it is needed (much like the original road plates are) or hung on the wall when not in use.
